Accident destroys vehicles but people okay
A two-car collision on the Northern Highway this morning has left two vehicles destroyed, but no one seriously injured. Sixty-two year old Robert Tillett was driving his truck from the airport towards Belize City around 8:30 when he collided with a Nissan car driven by Assistant Inspector of Police Miguel Segura. According to James Herrera, a passenger in Tillett’s vehicle, when the truck approached mile seven, the car, which was coming from the opposite direction, attempted to overtake another vehicle on a curve. Even though Tillett swerved his vehicle to the side of the road to get out of the way, the crash was unavoidable. No charges have yet been filed against Segura.
