New Mexican ambassador presents credentials

The new Ambassador of Mexico today presented his credentials to the Governor General in Belmopan. Jorge Trejo Nava is the sixth ambassador to represent his country here since 1981. Mexico was the first nation to officially recognize the independence of Belize and appoint a resident ambassador. Trejo’s predecessor, Enrique Hubbard, has been appointed as Mexico’s Ambassador to the Philippines.
