Vibrant costumes make up the biggest cultural party of the year

A series of mas camps and other activities gave way to the spectacular road march in Belize City that culminated Carnival 2019. Saturday morning started with the popular J’ouvert at the crack of dawn in which thousands took part.  Showers in the morning did not get in the way of the event as the bands got in the groove at the start of the parade route. Soca and reggae hits prevailed as revellers gyrated to the sound of the music. Thousands lined up the streets to catch a glimpse of the bright and vibrant costumes that made up the biggest cultural party of the year.  Here are the highlights.
