BIL confirms death of two workmen at Civic Center

This afternoon, the Belize Infrastructure Limited issued a release on the mishap at the Civic Center. BIL confirms that two persons died and four others were injured in the accident which was a result of a platform failure that connects the scaffold at a heightened level. The men were working on the installation of acoustical material.  BIL says it hired an experienced roofing contractor with a professional construction track record delivering similar successful projects to BIL in recent past. The BIL release ends saying it is saddened by the tragedy and offers condolences to the families of the deceased and prayers for the full recovery of those injured and does not take any responsibility for the death of the two men.
