Daniel Rios Freed of Unlawful Sexual Intercourse Charge
A thirty-year-old man is free tonight after a serious charge of unlawful sexual intercourse was dismissed against him in the Supreme Court this morning. Daniel Rios was accused by a child, only nine years at the time. He appeared in the courtroom of Justice Colin Williams where the crown counsel of the D.P.P. office, entered a nolle prosequi against him. That is because the victim, who is now fourteen-years old, indicated to the court that she did not want any further court action against Rios. On February nineteenth, 2016, the sex case against Rios was committed to stand trial after a PI before the then Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith concluded that there was sufficient evidence against Rios for unlawful sexual intercourse against the child in April 2015.
