Tourist Dies During Snorkeling Tour at Rendezvous Caye
A snorkeling tour goes wrong at Rendezvous Caye this morning as an elderly tourist lost her life. According to reports, thirteen tourists were on a snorkeling trip at the caye located just forty minutes away from Belize City. Sixty-three-year-old Sandra Corbin Keiser was part of the group as they snorkeled around ten o’clock in the morning. Shortly after eleven o’clock Keiser complained that she had swallowed some water and was immediately taken out. According to police, moments later, as she was being questioned about her health, Keiser began to foam at the mouth and fell unconscious. Someone among the group attempted CPR and the site manager at the caye went to get an oxygen tank, but when she returned, Keiser was unresponsive and not breathing. She was brought into Belize City for medical treatment, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
