Four dangerous inmates escape from Hattieville

A joint police/BDF operation is combing the area around the Western Highway tonight after four dangerous inmates breached the walls of Hattieville Prison. The breakout occurred during the convicts recess period. According to Executive Governor of Prisons Bernard Adolphus, all four men were maximum security prisoners serving time for murder, attempted murder or manslaughter.

“At 11:38 sharp the alarm went off saying that two men made good their escape. The two name which I previously mentioned are Terry Reyes and Estevan Sho, who previously escaped from this institution before, and who I consider dangerous because of the fact that they were convicted by the court of law for murder.”
Ann-Marie Williams
“Reyes is the one who killed the Chinese guy?”
Bernard Adolphus
“Yes, that’s the one I think allegedly killed the Chinese guy. He was found guilty and he was given a sentence of twenty years. Estevan Sho was also given a sentence of twenty-five years. I think he was involved in the murder of Lightfoot, the British VSO. When the deputy and the rest of the men were doing a proper check of the prisons to confirm that they had escaped, we discovered that two more people were missing. I must tell you that one is Kenrick McPherson and Evrard Leslie. Both men have also been sentenced to this institution. Leslie is here for attempted murder and he had fifteen years, and he is also here for five years for robbery.”
“A lot of money is spent on the outside security. We are responsible for inside, and then the KBH is responsible for the outside security.”
Ann-Marie Williams
“Where was the KBH at that time?
Bernard Adolphus
“It so happens that we will have to ask the police to do an in depth investigation into this particular scenario because right now I am unable to…I am looking things to try and pin, but I don’t want to pinpoint anything right now. I’m just looking and see where the neglect was, because by looking at the neglect we will strengthen our system.”
Ann-Marie Williams
“Where do you think they escaped from?”
Bernard Adolphus
“They escaped from the southside of the medium section of the prisons. We have max/medium, and on the southwest section of medium they made their escape. We saw a shirt that was on the wire, which we have established is for Estevan Sho. We saw footprints that led straight in a westerly direction.”
“I wouldn’t want any unfortunate incidents to happen. Particularly Terry Reyes, he is uptight and I am worried about McPherson because of the witness who gave statement against him. I understand sometime last week he said some heavy remarks about the person that spoke against him.”
Ann-Marie Williams
“He was just sentenced?”
Bernard Adolphus
“He was recently sentenced.”
Adolphus is appealing to members of the public, particularly drivers, to refrain from picking up hitchhikers on the road and to report any suspicious activity to police or prison authorities.
