Bail for Men Busted with Large Amount of Weed in Corozal
Two men busted in Corozal with a large quantity of marijuana were granted Supreme Court bail on Thursday in the sum of ten thousand dollars each. They are taxi-driver, Nestor Alejandro Cowo and Sergio Ramon Hall. The duo was arrested on September sixteenth, and charged jointly. Cowo was charged with possession of thirteen point three kilograms while Hall was charged with possession of fifteen point one kilogram. Hall was additionally charged with one count of possession of fifty-our grams of cannabis. The men were arraigned in the Corozal Magistrate’s court and denied bail due to the quantum of marijuana and remanded into custody prior to securing bail. Justice Colin Williams imposed conditions on both that they must report to the Corozal Police Station once a week, they must attend all their court adjournments and must also surrender all their travel documents to the Registrar of the Supreme Court. They cannot leave the jurisdiction of the court without the permission of the court and if either of them is arrested and charged with any indictable offenses, their bail could be revoke.
