Suspect arrested in taxi robberies
It was not in the same league as the big cocaine bust, but police have arrested a suspect in two recent robberies of Belize City taxi drivers. Twenty-nine year old Glenford Middleton of Belama Phase One has been charged with two counts of robbery in connection with separate jackings on Monday night of taxi men James White and Tulio Caceres. In the case of Caceres, Middleton allegedly not only took one hundred and twenty dollars in cash, but also drove off with the taxi: it was later recovered on Rivero Street.
