Robbers Target Moneygram/I.C.B.

A Moneygram outlet at the I.C.B. office on Central American Boulevard in Belize City was robbed on Friday morning after eleven. Two armed men held up the security and made off with a few thousand dollars. ACP Joseph Myvett shares details of the incident.

“On Friday last, sometime around eleven-thirty a.m, Belize City police was called to the I.C.B./Moneygram office on Central American Boulevard in Belize City where it was reported that around eleven-thirty that morning, the place was open for business when two dark complexion persons walked in, one of whom was armed with a hand-gun and as a result he demanded money while his accomplice relieved the security guard of his handgun who was standing guard at the door of the establishment. They made off with an undisclosed amount of money. Police are following several leads in respect to this investigation. Several surveillance videos were viewed in the area where police are following certain information.”
