P.U.P. Area Rep, Councillor Explain Voter’s List Criticism
The new voter’s lists also show several persons living at fifty-three Kelly Street/ Freetown Road. The address is the home of Belize City P.U.P. councilor Deltrude Hilton. The documents show that the address is also home to thirty-one registered voters. Then there is the case in Caribbean Shores involving close associate of Area Representative Kareem Musa, Paul “Chicken Dreads” Ferguson. Some sixteen persons are registered at the Ferguson residence. Musa and Hilton explained why those persons are registered at the respective residences.
Kareem Musa, Area Rep., Caribbean Shores
“When I was shown that list, I think it was on Friday, yesterday or day before, I noticed it was mostly Fergusons. I think out of twelve of thirteen of them, it was about eight Fergusons, nine Fergusons, whatever. That is the home of Mrs. Shirley Ferguson. Those are her children. Those are her children’s spouses and grandchildren. So, I think you have to look at that carefully.”
“Do they actually live there?”
Kareem Musa
“Well I can’t speak to that. Somebody is trying to raise and issue that there are actually seven people that live at one of my brother’s house. He and his wife live there along with their son, and I believe they have rental down stairs so again that is something that could have been checked, easily checked and if there was an issue that could have been objected to, they could have done that. So I really don’t see an issue with that.”
Deltrude Hilton, Councillor, Belize City
“When it comes to the people who are registered there they are all people living at that address. Within that compound we have two upstairs and downstairs house in the front. We have a bungalow house about five step off the ground right behind the second one. We have a six apartment building at the back on Kelly street side.”

“So you would estimate that with all those properties you have about how many people living there?”
Deltrude Hilton
“I would say about forty-odd people right now. Presently putting out the ones who have already moved out, and that’s with children.”
