Lois Smith is new Ms. Y
It is a pageant right up there in popularity with Miss Belize and Queen of the Bay. This year’s Ms. Y competition featured six exceptionally strong contenders for the crown. Here are some excerpts from the show.

“And the Ms. Y for 2001-2001 is… contestant number 5, Lois Smith. The reigning queen will now crown her.”
The new Ms. Y, Lois Smith of Belize City, takes home a number of prizes including airline tickets, cash and a stay at a local resort. Proceeds from the pageant help support the activities of the YWCA.
