“Today we are having the opening of the Festival of Arts. What we are doing is we are highlighting mostly the national companies; The National Junior Company Dance, the National Junior Vocal Company, also the National Band. Basically we are showing off our talent of what we achieved through the Festival of Arts.”
Jose Sanchez
“What different things can we expect to see?”
Gregory Vernon
“More structure geared towards a national level. Meaning we have people coming in from Corozal, some of the students coming in from Dangriga, so we are placing ourselves at the national level with more highlight on discipline and professional structure.”

“So most of the stuff we’ll be seeing are performing arts?”
Gregory Vernon
“Most of the stuff you’ll be seeing today are performing arts and then we’ll be opening the visual display to the public.”
The art display will run until the end of the week, but the real action will be occurring from May fourteenth until the twenty-seventh. That’s when the performing segment gets under way on stage at the parish hall. Tickets for those nights will cost five dollars for adults and three dollars for children.
