Hulse on Senate Inquiry Report: “I wish I knew”
On Tuesday, P.U.P.’s Julius Espat spoke on the pending results of the senate inquiry that took place between 2016 and 2017. Back then, the Senate Special Select Committee met for more than forty sessions over the course of thirteen months as it investigated into the Auditor General’s Special Audit Report of the Immigration and Nationality Department for 2011 to 2013. Over two years later, there is still no report. Today, when the media asked Minister for Immigration Godwin Hulse about the report, he did not have much to say, except for the following.
Godwin Hulse, Minister of Immigration
“I wish I knew. The senate inquiry was such a big thing; [but] we can’t get a report, you know.”
