Man Charged For Robbing 90-year-old of 2K
Police say that twenty-two-year-old Aaron Munnings robbed a ninety-year-old man of two thousand dollars. Munnings was arrested and charged with one count of robbery. This charges stems from an incident that happened on Tuesday just outside of the St. John’s Credit Union on Basra Street in Belize City. The elderly man, identified as Lewis Tillett, had just exited the credit union where he had withdrawn two thousand dollars from his account and was riding away on his bike when a man confronted him and threw him down in the middle of the street. The man grabbed the two grand and hurried away. The robbery was captured on surveillance camera and based on police investigation and that video; they’ve apprehended and charged Munnings. “In regards to the report made by Mr. Lewis Tillett, in regarding the robbery, there is one person in custody. Investigation is ongoing and we will determine by the end of the today whether charges will be levied upon this individual.”

“He left from there with money, do you know if perhaps there are persons close to him who may have revealed information about the money he was carrying?”

“That is a part of the investigation, so there are detectives presently doing more interviews, recording more statements to determine if there is any other connection to anyone therein who may have provided any sort of information.”
