MS-13 Gang Member Deported to El Salvador
Thirty-six-year-old Tomas Alexander Paises has been deported to his country of origin. Paises was arrested for being a member of the MS-thirteen gang and deported to El Salvador. He was arrested by the Anti-Gang Task Force and Interpol officers in Belize last month but was handed over to Salvadoran and Guatemalan Interpol representatives at the Belize Western Border on October first. Â According to police, Paises was arrested in Belmopan during an anti-gang operation. Police investigations into his background revealed that Paises was convicted via an Ex parte trial in El Salvador in October 2015, along with other MS-thirteen gang members for Robbery and Kidnapping. Paises will serve a forty-eight year prison sentence in El Savador for crimes committed in that country. Prior to his detention, he was residing at Maravilla Street, Las Flores area, Belmopan City.
