Salesman jacked in Belize City
A salesman for James Brodie and Company was robbed on Monday morning. Between 9:30 and 10:00, Leslie Pratt parked his car at the corner of East Collet Canal and Vernon Street and entered Century Company limited to collect cash and cheques worth three thousand seven hundred dollars. As he left the building and returned to his car, a dark skinned man with a shotgun confronted him and demanded he hand over his money. Pratt, fearing for his life gave the gunman the deposit bag. The culprit escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash and cheques. After searching the Faber’s Road area, police have since found a black bag with thirteen cheques still intact and a folder with a Brodies price list amongst other documents. Police are continuing their investigations into the incident.
