A Woman is Raped in the West; Alleged Rapist is Charged

Police are investigating another sexual crime against a female. Also in the Cayo District, a twenty-four-year-old woman reported to police that just after midnight on October fifth she was in the company of a man, who is also from the same village. The man invited her to his house and soon after they got inside, he grabbed her by the neck, dragged her to a bed and had sex with her against her will. The alleged perpetrator was detained by police soon after and has been identified as Servando Mendez Junior. He has since been charged for rape.
