Policewoman injured in highway accident
An automobile accident Friday morning on the Western Highway has left a police officer hospitalised. Corporal Rosita Vernon received facial injuries when the supercab pickup in which she was a passenger, overturned around 7:30 in the morning. According to police, the vehicle, driven by Sharette Yearwood, suffered a blowout while heading west at the mile twelve curve. It rolled a total of five times before coming to rest in some roadside bushes. Two other passengers in the vehicle, Vernon’s four-year-old son and Elaine Young, the driver’s mother, were treated and released.
