Pipe breaks, city without water
There may be a new and privately owned company in charge of our water supply but that’s small consolation to residents of Belize City and Ladyville whose pipes were devoid of that precious liquid today. Belize Water Services Limited says that the cause is a break in its twenty-four inch main line from Double Run which occurred near mile sixteen and a half on the Northern Highway. At newstime repairs were underway and B.W.S.L. said it hoped to have the water supply back to normal by seven this evening.
