A Farmers Registry for Times like These
According to District Agriculture Coordinator Elsner Campos, it is important for farmers to enroll with the ministry so that a record of their location, the crops they grow and the scale at which they are producing are all recorded for future use. Campos says that the information is necessary for times like these where help is being offered to affected farmers.

“Since it’s of importance, you cannot diagnose what is your illness or your sickness if you don’t really know exact data as to who and to whom is affected right. So that one of the reasons why [there needs to be] a registry or a farmer census which engulfs other things which might be of importance so that our government and also our ministry could find the amount of finance in order to alleviate whatever difficulties our people will be facing. So I will say it’s of vital importance for farmers to take our registry, our farmers’ register as of great importance and to look forward to visit our office or visit our place. We’re still open for them to register and see this as an opportunity and also as an example of all that can be done if information is there and what can be found money wise to alleviate any further problems if this continues.”
