Opposition Leader was Right, says Kareem Musa
The Leader of the Opposition John Briceño says that on October fourth he was denied the opportunity to debate the Joshua Perdomo forty thousand dollars write-off motion. Speaker of the House Laura Tucker-Longsworth told Briceño that no one rose to debate the motion when it was first introduced by the Prime Minister at the previous House Sitting. Briceño then wrote to Tucker-Longsworth that her decision to block the debate was a clear denial of his constitutional right and duty as a parliamentarian and as Leader of the Opposition. Caribbean Shores Rep, Kareem Musa says that Briceño was right.

“Having seen the Prime Minister’s comments publicly after that fact it ought to have come back from debate so the Party Leader is totally right. That new matters having been arise we ought to have given an opportunity to debate it because again the Prime Minister was deciding this nation and telling us that we only had six years to sue when in fact we had a full twelve years to sue. We still have time to sue.”
