Friday Night’s Shooting Victim Injured in Right Leg

While there were no murders in Belize City, police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Friday night. It happened at around nine-thirty at the corner of Sarstoon and Ebony Streets. The victim has been identified as twenty-one-year-old Tyrique Medwood. He was shot in the right leg and up to today, police have not been able to receive enough information from Medwood other than that he was with a friend when they were shot at.

“According to him, himself and another person were socializing when they were approached a dark complexion male person who fired one single shot resulting in his injuries. SO far that is as much we were able to gather from him as he has not provided us with any other information with regards to his shooting.”
