Tony Wright releases new gospel CD
“The Word Must be Heard” is the title of a new compilation CD with various Belizean gospel artists. Released in time for this holy week, Belizean singer/songwriter Tony Wright says he wrote almost all of the contemporary religious tunes.

“Denise Simpson, Shawn Gillett, the Robateau brother, Dalton Perez, we have some of the greatest gospel artists on this album.”
“I wrote all the songs and apart from two of them, the one that Shirley Bowen sang, and the gospel meddle. The meddle is a compilation of the old time gospel put together in a sort of upbeat way, those two arrangement I did.”
“I don’t want to lose the message every time I do an album, the message is there and I do not want to have the rhythm so out there that people forget the real message we wanted to say.”
Wright says the new CD is ideal as a gift that will last through the years. Copies are twenty-two dollars each and can be purchased at Venus and Stone Jam Recording Studio.
