Gales Point Fisherman Inmar Welch is Gunned Down
There was also a murder in Gales Point Manatee, a community located just off the Coastal Road in the Belize District. It was the first homicide to occur over the weekend. Around seven o’clock on Friday night, shots rang out in the relatively quiet community. When the echoes of the blast subsided, Inmar Welch had been gunned down. The twenty-eight-year-old fisherman had just left home and was riding his bicycle when a gunman targeted him. A motive for his violent end on the weekend has not been established, but Senior Superintendent Hilberto Romero says that investigators are looking at various angles.
