Extradition case adjourned for 4th time

Belizean businessman and owner of the Coral Grove Lounge, Kevin Morris, had his extradition hearing in the Magistrate’s Court adjourned for the fourth time this morning, this time until May eleventh. Reports are that Belize police picked up Morris on February first at the request of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency. He is allegedly wanted on drug trafficking charges in the United States and is said to have jumped bail and returned home to Belize. The D.E.A. claims that Morris, a former baggage handler at the Houston hub of Continental Airlines, used his position to smuggle cocaine into the U.S. Morris remains on remand at Hattieville Prison. He is represented by attorney Kirk Anderson.
