6 winners try to catch the cash
For those viewers who watch this newscast regularly, the following story needs no introduction. So let’s just cut to the cash with Jose Sanchez.

Courts Furniture and Electrical Store is no stranger to aggressive promotion, but the latest gimmick, “Catch the Cash”, is pushing the envelope as customers are given the opportunity to enter a booth filled with two thousand dollars in redeemable coupons and retrieve as much of that dinero as they can.

“I’m Jack Flash. I’m here to give the folks money, get them set up in their catch the cash suit with the big pockets, tell them they’ve got their sixty seconds and away we go.”
Jose Sanchez
“How much money did you win?”
Rosa Dardon, Contestant
“Five hundred and twenty-two dollars.”
Jose Sanchez
“So what’s your advice for other people who are about to step in the booth?”
Rosa Dardon
“Make them go in and try to grab crazy, because when you see the money flying over and if it goes too far, you can’t reach it. So wait until it comes closer to you or maybe look by the corners, I never had a chance to look by the corners, that’s why I didn’t want to be number one right. But I think I did very well because I thought I would come and grab nothing, so I think I did great.”
Josefina Flores, Contestant
“I know I’m fast in the kitchen. I’m really fast because when I put myself to cook or do anything, I done quick.”

“So you think that will help you in the booth?”
Josefina Flores
“Maybe that will help me because when I move, I move.”
Flores caught only four hundred and sixty-six dollars. But the other contestants that came after had time to develop a strategy to get even more bucks.

“What was the experience like in the booth?”

“I don’t know what to say, but I’m very happy.”

“How much money did you win?”
Chiah Lin
“I win one thousand two hundred and seventy-one.”

“How did you do it? How did you catch the money?”
Chiah Lin
“The fan comes in from behind, the wind came in that way so I catch from this way, just like this.”
Jose Sanchez
“Show me your strategy, a little of what you did in the booth what you did to get that money?”
Alfonso Sierra
“I just practice.”
Jose Sanchez
“Show us some of your moves?”
Alfonso Sierra
“I just went down and grab and put in my pocket. I bet if I had more pockets I would have done better.”
The six contestants didn’t do too bad because in addition to today’s winnings they all received two thousand dollars earlier this week just for being selected to participate in the draw. The total winnings were over seventeen thousand dollars. Reporting for News 5, Jose Sanchez.
If you would like to get a chance to grab some of that money, Courts Advertising and Promotions Manager, Anamarie Bennett, says that the next Catch the Cash Draw will be held the first week in July.
