Another man drowns in Cayo
What appears to be a seasonal epidemic of drowning continued on Monday, with a Cayo man as the latest victim. Paul Kaufman, a preacher from the Homestead Acres area on the Western Highway, had gone swimming in the river around three thirty, Monday afternoon. Around seven that night his wife became distraught when he did not return home and she went out with some friends to look for him. After briefly exploring the area, they found his clothes on the riverbank and reported it to the police. A search was immediately conducted and about five thirty this morning, police found his lifeless body floating in the river. The body was retrieved and taken to the San Ignacio Hospital where it awaits a postmortem examination
