Canadian killed in highway knockdown
Earlier in the weekend a Canadian citizen was knocked down and killed in the same area of Corozal. Around ten o’clock on Saturday morning in Santa Rita Heights, fifty-seven year old Rene Rioux was riding his bicycle towards the Free Zone when the he was hit by a grey Mitsubishi also heading towards the zone. Driver of the car, forty-nine year old businessman, Thakur Thadajani, was charged with manslaughter by negligence, death by careless conduct and driving without due care and attention.
