Patrick Faber, Minister of Education
“Today we are here again in Cayo, but this time we did El Progresso, Esperanza and of course here in Billy White. And it’s a very wonderful feeling, most of these projects are preschools, but as you have heard me say, preschool education, early childhood education is for us a big priority because it allows for our children to get a very, very strong start and we believe that if we continue along this path that we will eventually get to the stage of having more successful or a higher quality of education, if you will, later on because our children would have had a very strong foundation. I am placed once again to place on record our gratitude to the Caribbean Development Bank for their support in helping us to realize these projects. But I am also very grateful to the local area leaders in these villages especially who have worked tirelessly to help us to identify the sites, prepare the sites consult with the stakeholders. All of that has been a part of the process and we are very, very happy that we are at this stage.”
Carmen Aguilar, Parent
“I am so happy that this was one of my dreams that came through and I have two children, one is in school and the next one will be here at the preschool and they will, for them, they will be coming for three or four years and they will be using the preschool and I hope that everybody is going to be happy with the preschool that we are going to have.”
