30K Car Set on Fire in Belmopan!
In the nation’s capital, a thirty-thousand dollar vehicle was destroyed by fire over the weekend. A Belmopan barber reported that his car was set on fire while parked in front of his yard on Ben Bluff Street. Police were called out to the scene on Saturday sometime after four in the morning. ACP Joseph Myvett of the National Crimes Investigation Branch tells us more about police’s response to the blaze that destroyed Curlin Flores’ car.

“They observed a black Lexus car engulfed in flames. Mr. Flores reported to the police that sometime around three-forty-five a.m he was alerted by his neighbours that his vehicle which was parked in front of his yard was on fire. As a result, he got up and came out and later called the police and the fire department. In relation to this, we are following on several information. Surveillance footage has been viewed within the area and the police are seeking two suspects in relation to this investigation. The motive at this point in time is unknown.”
