21-Year-Old Stabbed in San Ignacio; Minor is Detained
A twenty-one-year-old man was stabbed and a minor has been detained. Police say that Michael Williams was in Santa Elena on Sunday afternoon when a man he doesn’t know approached him. They had a brief exchange of words where the man queried Williams’ identity but Williams didn’t respond. Shortly after, he was stabbed to the chest. Police have since arrested a fifteen-year-old boy in connection with this incident. ACP Joseph Myvett tells us more.

“He reported to the police that while he was at a restaurant buying food in Santa Elena town, he was approached by a male person unknown to him, who uttered certain words to him and later took out a knife and inflicted those injuries before making good his escape. Williams is in a stable condition in the hospital. At this time police have a fifteen-year-old minor detained in relation to this investigation.”
