Contracts signed for feeder road improvements
People who travel in the south of the country will be happy to hear that two new projects will make life on the road a little less bumpy and dusty. Minister of Works Henry Canton today signed two contracts under the Feeder Roads Rehabilitation Project. The first, with Albert Reimer of Valley Ranch Enterprise, was for the upgrading of the Placencia Road. Work will begin shortly in Placencia Village and head in the direction of Seine Bight and beyond. The second, with Blue Creek Construction Company, provides for improvements in the roads to Georgetown, Maya Mopan and Red Bank villages for a distance of thirteen miles. The contracts, financed by the I.D.B. and Belize Government, are valued at three hundred and eight and one hundred and eighty-three thousand dollars respectively.
