Armed Robbery at J & A Store in San Ignacio
There was a robbery in San Ignacio on Tuesday afternoon just before one. Police say that two men entered J & A Store on Flaming Avenue and held up the proprietor, forty-four-year-old Shu Yun Chen. Chen told police that one of the men was armed with a machete and the other armed with what appeared to be a pistol. One of the assailants demanded money, while the other assaulted her with the firearm. The robbers made off with an undisclosed amount of money in different denominations. Police are investigating.
