Man arrested for prohibited .357 revolver
Twenty-nine year old Andrew Hernandez of Boots Crescent was this morning arraigned in Magistrate’s Court on four counts of keeping a prohibited firearm and unlicensed ammunition. Police say while they were on routine patrol Tuesday afternoon on Peter Seco Street, they saw Hernandez suspiciously run away from their vehicle. They then chased him and saw when he threw away a blue knapsack. Police apprehended Hernandez and searched the bag, which turned up a 357 revolver with forty-five rounds of matching ammunition, as well as ammo for other guns. A grey warm cap and a nylon stocking were also found in the knapsack. Hernandez is scheduled to have his day in court May seventeenth.
