Belize City Delivery Man Targeted and Shot

Thirty-seven-year-old Belize City delivery man Issa Nunez is tonight recuperating after an attempt on his life was made on Saturday afternoon. Nunez was shot while inside a parked delivery truck on Saint Thomas Street. Two thieves approached Nunez, demanding monies before firing the shots. Senior Superintendent Hilberto Romero told the press today that the culprits escaped with no money.

“Investigations revealed that he was in a truck in Saint Thomas Street when he was approached to male persons who demanded money. There was some delay and at one point one of the male persons fired a shot at the truck which caught the victim on the leg. He drove himself to the KHM where he received treatment. Again, investigation is ongoing into this matter and nobody has been charged for this incident.”
