A Shooting in the City Leaves 1 Man Injured

A Belize City man was shot sometime around mid-day today. The shooting reportedly happened on Lavender Street. According to information we received, the victim is twenty-eight-year-old Francis Arana.  Sources say that a man fired shots in Arana’s direction, one of which hit him the hand. Arana, who lives in the area, ran away from his shooter into a neighbouring house and was taken to the K.H.M.H. for treatment. Police Officers and scenes-of-crime technicians were in the area conducting an investigation when we arrived on the scene. There’s has been no official word from the cops on the shooting.
