No Principal at Julian Cho, Toledo’s Largest High School
Julian Cho Technical High School is arguably the largest secondary school in Toledo District and tonight it is without a principal. That is because acting principal Doctor Kent Arzu’s last day in that capacity was on November twentieth. News Five understands that there is a deadlock between the board of directors of the high school and the Teaching Services Commission as to who should take up the post. Doctor Simeon Coc who has passed the retirement age is still a candidate for the position, despite the advice of the Teaching Services Commission that he be succeeded by a younger, aptly qualified candidate. We understand that Doctor Arzu, who has been with the institution for the past seventeen years, is also eyeing the job. So is there something bubbling below the surface that is preventing Arzu from landing the post? It’s a story we will continue to follow. News Five has made several attempts to speak with the chairman of the board but our calls have gone unanswered.
