Weapon and Ammunition Discovered in the South and West
Police took a firearm and some ammunition off the streets during searches in the west and south. On Monday morning around eleven-thirty, police conducted a search in an abandoned lot in the Hattieville area in Roaring Creek where they discovered a point thirty-eight Smith and Wesson Revolver. No one was in the area at the time of the discovery and the weapon was deposited as found property.
Cops in the south also got some ammunition off the streets. Sometime around three-thirty on Monday evening, police searched an abandoned bushy lot on Bur Bur Street in the Indianville area where they came across six point nine millimeter live rounds of ammunition. No one was in the area at the time of the search, so the ammunition was labelled and deposited as found property.
