Persons Sought for Attempt Made on Richard O’Neil’s Life

Richard O’Neil remains in critical condition at the K.H.M.H. following an attempt on his life on Wednesday. In the wee hours of that morning, O’Neil says that he was kidnapped by three persons, forced into a car and taken to the Boom/Hattieville Road. He was shot several times and left for dead. An injured O’Neil managed to get to a nearby house and was taken to the hospital.  Police are looking for several persons in connection with this incident.

“Police were called to the Burrell Boom Hattieville Road where they visited a house at that location where they observed Richard O’Neil, twenty-seven years old from Ordonez Street with apparent gunshot wounds to the body. He was transported to the K.H.M.H. where he is admitted and is in a critical condition. What we understand is that he was somewhere in the Martin’s area when he was forced into a vehicle and allegedly taken to that area where he was fired several shots which caused the injuries to him.”

“Well we have not had the opportunity to interview the victim as he is unable and is in a critical condition. We are just working on information that we have been receiving and of interviews that we conducting within the village.”

“I don’t believe, but I know that we are looking for two suspects for this latest shooting.”
