Minor Charged with 3 Counts of Attempted Murder
On Sunday, November twenty-fourth, a gunman sprayed the Martin’s residence on Antelope Street Extension with bullets. That same shooter shot one-year-old Melanie Martinez who was asleep in the house and twenty-three-year-old Mervin Martin, and his girlfriend sixteen-year-old Chanteuse Martinez who were near the gate. Investigators say they have arrested the shooter. On Thursday, a male minor was charged for the crime of attempted murder. While Martin and the toddler have been released from the hospital, Martinez remains hospitalized in a critical condition. Investigators, however, have yet to determine a motive.
