Monsanto recaptured after walking out of court
He is now back in custody but for over a day, reputed gang leader Clay Monsanto managed to disappear from police who were holding him on a weapons charge. Details are sketchy, but somehow, in the midst of his arraignment in Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Monday, Monsanto simply walked out without making arrangements to post the two thousand dollar bail set by the court for his charge of possession of an unlicensed nine millimeter pistol and ammunition. Police picked him up this afternoon and promise an investigation.
