New fire truck for Dangriga
On Friday March third, Prime Minister Said Musa and Minister of Home Affairs Dickie Bradley, went on a working tour of the Stann Creek District. While inspecting some projects that government is developing in the area, Bradley took time out to present a new fire truck to the fire service in Dangriga. The 2001 model cost three hundred and seventy-five dollars and it replaces a well-worn machine from 1970. It has the capacity to hold one thousand, two hundred and fifty gallons of water and in addition to regular equipment, the truck has a deck gun on the top, and a set of breathing apparatus beneath the seats so Dangriga firemen will always be prepared for the worst.
