Wife throws acid at husband’s girlfriend
What appeared to have been a love triangle turned extremely ugly on Thursday. Police say Germaine Thompson Staine, a twenty-two year old domestic of Mahogany Street Extension, had a fight with her husband’s sweetheart, twenty-year old Melanie Bucknor of Aloe Vera Street in the St. Martin’s Area. Things took a bitter turn around 9:30 in the morning when Thompson threw acid in Bucknor’s face. Bucknor was rushed to the K.H.M.H. where she was referred to the eye doctor. Police have since charged Germaine Thompson Staine with dangerous harm.
