Gathering the Families of Missing Persons
At news time tonight, the family has organized an event at the Digi Park on Newtown Barracks in Belize City. They are encouraging family and friends of other missing persons to come out and join in with an aim to create a support group that can help families with finding closure. Sheree Saldano says that a symbolic release of yellow balloons will take place in memory of Annie Young.

“We know that she would have contacted somebody from out of the family so from the beginning after a couple months, we feared for the worst. Her birthday was in September; we went and released some yellow balloons for hope because we are still hoping. We would want for her to give us a call and say I am alive and I am just exiling myself, but because we know the person who Annie was, we know that we had feared for the worst from the beginning. At six-thirty this evening at B.T.L. Park, the family had decided that we will go out there, we want to release some more balloons. And we are also inviting other family members. I know of lately, we have seen on the news that a lot of people have gone missing, so we are inviting out the families to come out and just talk and let us share our views with one another and maybe how we can come together and form an organization to put an end to all these people that are going missing.”
