Another Home Invasion in Belama Phase One

As the season gets underway, criminals are on the loose. Tonight, there is yet another home invasion to report in the Belama Phase One area of Belize City. For the second time in less than two weeks, a house was targeted on Samuel Haynes Street, but police cannot ascertain if the masked and armed burglars are connected to both incidents. The most recent occurred on Monday afternoon around two o’clock during which three persons were tied up, before the burglars ransacked the property. Bella Vista Maintenance worker, Argenize Caballero along with housekeeper, Nubia Banos and a seventeen-year-old minor reported to police that two men entered the property on Samuel Haynes Street. They first held up Banos and the female minor inside the house; their hands were bound before the men rummaged through the house. As the masked burglars exited the house through the back door, they came face to face with Caballero, who had just returned to the property. He too was tied up but with a string from a cast net and taken inside the house.  Then thieves then continued to ransack the place before they jumped the fence, facing the river and escaped with an assortment of liquor, jewellery, a laptop, and three thousand three hundred U.S. dollars in cash. They also got away with two Apple Ear Pods and a pellet gun. News Five has been reliably informed that while the burglars have not been caught, police were able to recover the loot.
