Shooting victim clings to life in hospital
A thirty-five year old Belize City man is fighting for his life at the K.H.M.H. after being shot Sunday night. He is James Whylie of Tanoomah Street. An eyewitness told News 5 that around 10:40 p.m. on Sunday a group of young men in a black car drove up to Whylie’s home, called him out and shot him twice in the abdomen at close range. According to a hospital spokeswoman, Whylie sustained extensive internal injuries and had to undergo a series of operations. Although police have been able to impound the car used in the shooting, they have not yet made any arrests.
