6 firearms recovered in San Pedro
Six firearms were taken off the streets of San Pedro over the course of a few days making the island a little safer. Today, Commissioner Chester Williams praised Officer in Charge Superintendent Christopher Noble for his efforts to tackle crime on the island. Here’s what the Commissioner shared about the Coastal Executive Officer’s latest efforts that led to the seizure of the weapons.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
“First and foremost, I must commend the good work of the officer commanding San Pedro, Superintendent Noble. Since he went out to San Pedro we have seen a significant change in terms of the crime situation. Every week they are on it, doing operations going after the criminals. I am pleased to say that this week alone they have taken six firearms off the streets; two 9mm; two 380; one 38 and one 45 pistol. For those firearms, five of them arrests have been made for and one was a found property. So, again, it continues to show the good work that the officer and his team are doing in ensuring that crime on the island is kept at a minimal or acceptable rate.”
