Belize City Man Dies in Traffic Accident in Santa Elena Town
A number of persons lost their lives in traffic fatalities. Twenty two year old Jaime Enrique Williams lost his life as a result of a traffic accident on Sunday night. Just before ten o’clock, Williams was driving a brown Honda C.R.V. S.U.V. on La Loma Luz Boulevard in Santa Elena Town when he lost control, crashing into a lamppost. Williams was flung out of the S.U.V. and subsequently died. This morning, A.C.P. Joseph Myvett shared more details.

“What was gathered so far is that Jamie Williams was coming from the direction of San Ignacio into Santa Elena when he apparently lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a lamppost where he was flung from the vehicle causing his injuries and the extensive damage to the vehicle.”

“Is there any indication that alcohol may have been involved?”

“At this point in time we do not know but that will be determined at the post mortem where blood will be extracted from him to determine that.”
