Woman found dead in Crooked Tree Lagoon

Thirty-four-year-old Diana Pott Jones was found floating in the lagoon in Crooked Tree on Saturday morning just after nine o’clock. There are multiple reports circulating about what may have happened to Jones. She was reportedly seen swimming in the lagoon prior to her death. Today, we asked Senior Superintendent Hilberto Romero about how police are treating the murder.  Here’s what police found when they were called out to the scene.

“They visited the lagoon where they found Diana Pott Jones, thirty-four-years-old floating in the lagoon. She was taken out and no signs of violence were found on the body. She was taken to the KHMH where she was pronounced dead on arrival and we are now awaiting a post-mortem to determine what was the cause of death.”

“Sir, she was last seen swimming, is it a suspicion that she drowned?”

“The information is that yes she was seen by the lagoon side and thereafter she was found floating.”

“All steps have been taken; the scene has been processed as in any case where we find a body. A postmortem will reveal the cause of death and thereafter we will proceed with the investigation from there.”
